The post-production decoration of glass bottles mainly focuses on three core purposes: appearance enhancement, texture improvement, and brand identity presentation. There are 5 common types, covering different process characteristics and application scenarios:
1. Printing Decoration - Core Processes: Mainly include screen printing (suitable for large-area, high-adhesion patterns, e.g., logos on beverage bottles) and pad printing (suitable for curved or irregular bottle bodies, e.g., detailed patterns on cosmetic bottles). - Features: Bright colors, high pattern precision, suitable for mass production. Widely used in food and daily chemical packaging.
2. Coating/Plating Decoration
- Core Processes: Achieved through spray coating (creating textures like frosted, matte, or high-gloss finishes, or custom colors) and vacuum plating (forming metallic colors such as gold and silver, or iridescent effects).
- Features: Enhances the premium feel of the bottle body and can hide the contents inside. Often used in cosmetic and high-end alcohol packaging.
3. Hot Stamping Decoration
- Core Process: Uses high temperature to press metal foils (gold, silver, laser foil, etc.) onto the bottle surface, forming partial patterns or text.
- Features: Strong gloss and prominent three-dimensional effect, suitable for emphasizing brand identities. Applied to gift bottles and high-end daily chemical bottles.
4. Engraving Decoration
- Core Processes: Divided into laser engraving (high precision, capable of engraving fine patterns and text with no consumables) and mechanical engraving (suitable for deep engraving, e.g., three-dimensional patterns).
- Features: Patterns are durable and non-peeling, with artistic value. Used in commemorative bottles, reagent bottle scales, and high-end craft bottles.
5. Labeling/Inlay Decoration
- Core Processes: Adhering self-adhesive labels (for basic information marking) or metal nameplates; or inlaying decorative elements such as small diamonds and metal rivets.
- Features: Flexible operation, low cost, suitable for personalized customization or rapid mass decoration. Widely used in various civilian glass bottles.
